Produced as a pilot for a television series in 1986, "The Cybernator: Motorcycle Warrior of the Future" was to be CBS's attempt to counter NBC's hit show "Knight Rider." With a high-concept sci-fi story that borrowed liberally from recent hits "The Terminator" and "Blade Runner," the pilot was one of the most expensive ever produced. Unfortunately, all the tapes were destroyed in a studio fire in June of that year, and after an insurance debacle, production was canceled.

Some of the soundtrack, however — composed by European newcomer Varenberg (who had done the soundtracks for 1983's "Omegaborg," and "Night Justice" in 1981) — was saved, and is here being released to the general public.
